Each room at Avlon House boasts a private bathroom with a power shower and a wide range of free toiletries and bathroom amenities. Rooms also include a TV, tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer and mineral water. Room rates may be cheaper on longer stays.
Guests can relax on the patio amongst the water features and enjoy the barbecue snack menu. There is also a log cabin with board games for smokers to use.
Avlon House has 2 warm and cosy guest lounges with open fires, one houses a library of 700 DVDs, the other has the daily newspapers and a 300-book library.
Breakfast at Avlon House served each morning from 07:00-10:00, and a lively chat is assured. The full breakfast menu changes with the season, and always includes vegetarian dishes.
Shops, restaurants and bars are within an easy walking distance. Carlow Railway Station, Carlow Bus Park and the Tourist Office are within 1 km away. Carlow Town Park and Carlow IT are 5 minutes' drive away. Carlow stands where the Barrow and Burren rivers meet. Tradition states that the junction of the 2 rivers once formed 4 lakes. The name 'Carlow' means Four Lakes.

You are assured of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 2 guest lounges with open fire awaits you whether you are browsing through the books or catching up with your favourite show on TV. As a small property, Avlon House is unable to cater for hen or stag parties, please do not book these as refusal on the day can cause inconvenience for you and your guests.
