The Cathedral of San Miguel Árcangel, formerly known as the Basilica Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, is the seat of the diocese of Culiacán and the oldest since the date of 1842. On May 12 of that year, it began its construction by initiative of the seventh bishop of Sonora and Sinaloa, Lázaro de la Garza and Ballesteros, and was completed in 1855.
It has a neoclassical architecture with a few baroque touches, its facade has several rose quarry inlays.
The oldest in the municipality.
