Es entspricht der Kapelle des Theologischen Seminars von Santiago, die bis 1955 auf dem Gelände war. Im Neorenaissancestil wurde es 1884 vom italienischen Architekten Ignacio Cremonesi entworfen und ersetzte die ehemalige Kapelle des Instituts für Priesterausbildung.
Das Gebäude besteht aus Backsteinmauerwerk, das innen verputzt und mit Marmorimitat bemalt ist.
Draußen ragt es mit seinen zwei Zwillingstürmen und der großen Kuppel des Querschiffs heraus.
