The province of Chepén, La Libertad Peru is 130 meters above sea level north of Pacasmayo. Coast of three districts: Pacanga, Chepén and Pueblo Nuevo.



It was elevated to the category of province in September 1984. Although it also has a mountain range, Chepen is basically a coastal valley whose sandy areas are irrigated by the Jequetepeque River.



Alambo is undoubtedly the main tourist place in this young province since it is here where we can find the archaeological remains of the Cupisnique and a museum with various ceramics. The main tourist attractions of Chepen are:

The Hacienda Talambo.

The stone citadel.

The Via Crucis.

The Huaca Cotón.

The beaches of Chérrepe and La Bahía Prieto.

San José del Moro archaeological complex.
