Set 3 km outside of Bilbao city centre, the Hotel Artetxe is located on a hilltop offering views over the smart coastal city below. The hotel buildings were converted to the hotel by the Artetxe family, who continue to run the hotel. Nowadays it blends original, typically Basque features with a fashionable, minimalist style and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and air conditioning. Take the 3 km journey into Bilbao to visit the city’s many cultural sights. These include the unique Guggenheim Museum, Fine Art Museum, Euskalduna venue and the San Mames football stadium. Frequent bus services run from the hotel into the city.
