Tibau do Sul
Tibau do Sul is a small Brazilian city, located in the southern coastal strip of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, is located south of the capital of Goianinha state, about 80 km away.
Tourism
Tibau do Sul is a place where nature, peace and tranquility reign in perfect harmony. Here the exuberant nature guarantees days of peace to the visitor and also the sustenance of the small community that lives here. The city anticipates the beauty of Praia de Pipa, but is very different from its neighborhood so famous and hectic.
The beach of Tibau do Sul is a beach sheltered under high cliffs and quite quiet. Its landscape includes white and soft sand, shells, rocks and coconut trees, and weak waves, thanks to the reefs and piers. To the south, it is considered as last beach, the beach of Cacimbinhas, the following beaches already belong to the district of Pipa. To the north, the Lagoa de Guaraíras separates Tibau from the south of Malembá.
Those lucky enough to visit Tibau do Sul can see that the Mata Atlântica joins the river and the sea, mixing with coconut trees, making Tibau do Sul one of the most beautiful postcards in Brazil.
This diversity offered by nature gives the place the possibility of making a wide variety of walks, ranging from simple walks on the beach or on horseback, motorbike, buggy, sea walks (kayak, boat, sailing) or even aerial (from fliyngboat).
It is not by chance that much of the border is the Environmental Protection Area (APA), under the responsibility of the Brazilian Institute of the Environment of Rio Grande do Norte (Idema-RN), and is considered by IBAMA as an area of extreme biological importance, priority for the conservation of the biodiversity of marine mammals.
In contrast to the sea, gigantic cliffs frame the beach in a spectacle that leaves everyone in awe. In these cliffs the most adventurous practice abseiling and it is from them that the local artisans extract raw material for the drawings of landscapes made of sand inside glass bottles.
