Situated in the former fishing village of Figino, a 5-minute walk from the shore of Lake Lugano, this youth hostel is surrounded by a big garden. It offers free WiFi, an internet corner, a restaurant, and a playground.
All private rooms and dormitories at the Youth Hostel Figino feature parquet flooring. The shared bathrooms can be found on the corridors.
Typical Swiss cuisine with a Ticino touch is served in the restaurant on a half-board arrangement. Packed lunches are available on request. Barbecue evenings are organised once a week during summer.
A small store, ping-pong and football tables and a boules lanes can also be found on site. Private parking and covered parking for bicycles are available. You can also rent bicycles on site.
The Casoro Bus Stop by the lake is only a 5-minute walk away, and the Lugano Sud motorway exit is 6 km from the Youth Hostel Figino.
As of January 2017 guests will be able to use all public transport free of charge as well as being granted special rates for various leisure activities during their stay in the southern canton. You are given the “Ticino Ticket” upon arrival and it is valid until the end of your day of departure.
